Felimida macfarlandi
Felimida macfarlandi
Newly hatched veliger larva. This larva is typical of most hatching nudibranchs in the NE Pacific. They have a small coiled shell, small foot, lack eyespots and will feed and grow for at least a month or two until they are large and developed enough to settle and metamorphose into a juvenile slug. The shell here was about 0.17 mm long. Right lateral view.
